The Text Widget allows you to add text or HTML to your widget areas such as sidebar or footer. You can use a Text Widget to display text, links, images, HTML, or a combination of these.
Add Text Widget to widget area
- Go to General Settings > Widgets
- In the Available Widget area locate the Text Widget.
- Drag and drop the widget to the area you want to added (sidebar or footer area)
note: hover over the widget and hold with your left mouse button, release it into the desired position
Edit/add content in your Text Widget
- Open your Text Widget in your widget area, click on the right hand side arrow to expand.
- In Title field enter the title for your content.
- In the big box in the middle add your content, which can be plain text, HTML, links, etc
- Click on Save button.
Remove Text Widget from widget area
- Go to General Settings > Widgets
- In your Widget areas locate the Text Widget.
- Drag and drop the Text Widget to Inactive or Available Widgets area.
