Create A Link For Customers’ To Write Reviews

Google Reviews are a great way to to increase visibility in Search Engines, and with a good star rating you gain customer trust which can lead to more online sales.

(You will need a Google My Business account for this)

To create a link to send to guests, you will need to get the Place ID for your business.

To get your Place ID:

  1. Go to the Google Places API.
  2. Enter your business information in the ‘Enter a location’ field at the top of the map.
  3. Click your business name in the list that appears.
  4. Your Place ID will appear on the map, beneath your business name.

 

You will need to add your Place ID to the following URL to create your link:

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=(add your place ID here)

So for our example the link would be:

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJkza-neyvOG0ROc4aQvNH4-A

When customers click your link, a window will open in their browser. They’ll be able to rate your business and leave a review:

 

Sending the link to customers

You can either manually email the link to your customers, or using iBex Email Templates and Email Scheduler you can easily set up a ‘thank you for staying’ email that will automatically send out to guests’ after they have departed encouraging them to leave a review.
